England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

There are two lakes or ponds on Sizergh Estate. This one, near the castle steps, is covered in waterlillies and surrounded by gardens. A lot of effort goes into maintaining them. There aren't many people around mid week so it is the best time to see the National Trust properties.
